Through education, ProStar Air carries several distinctions, most notably NATE , Certified Green Professional and Healthy Air Expert certifications.
NATE, North American Technician Excellence Inc. - NATE’s certification tests represent real world working knowledge of HVAC and HVACR systems. NATE certification tests are developed by the NATE technical committee. The NATE technical committee is comprised of industry experts who developed and oversee NATE’s Knowledge Areas of Technician Expertise (KATEs). Each exam is developed based on these knowledge areas of expertise. The technical committee represents a wide variety of perspectives including contractors, educators, manufacturers, and utilities.
Certified Green Professional (CGP) - This National Association of Home Builders’ designation recognizes builders, remodelers and other industry professionals who incorporate green building principles into homes— without driving up the cost of construction. Classwork leading to the designation provides a solid background in green building methods, as well as the tools to reach consumers, from the organization leading the charge to provide market-driven green building solutions to the home building industry.
Carrier Healthy Air Expert - First, a dealer must be a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer. Only expert heating and air conditioning dealers who meet Carrier's highest standards for their technical expertise, business practices and customer service quality earn the Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer distinction. Second, the dealer must have earned NATE certification. And finally, extra training and testing is required in the field of indoor air quality including theory, application, product knowledge, and identifying the best package of solutions to fit your needs and lifestyle.
